The Consultation Process on Rwanda Action Plan on Business & Human Rights launched

On February 21, 2024, a fruitful dialogue on Rwanda Action Plan on Business & Human Rights aiming at advancing multi-stakeholder discussions on the development, adoption and implementation of Rwanda Action Plan on Business & Human rights, was organised by the National Commission for Human Rights, in partnership with the Ministry of Justice and the Office of High Commissioner for Human Rights in Rwanda.

The dialogue gathered participants from Government, Civil Society, Private Sector, NGOs, UN agencies, development partners, Scholars and the media

Participants discussed on how to increase awareness among stakeholders about the importance of integrating human rights into business practices; how to increase awareness of stakeholders about the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs); how to facilitate meaningful and inclusive participation of diverse stakeholders in the process of developing the National Action Plan on Business and Human rights; and how to collect ideas and views from stakeholders to inform the development of the National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights.
