The Commission raised awareness on Fundamental Human Rights

The Commission in partnership with Strive Foundation Rwanda, joined leaders and citizens of Ngoma District in Kazo Sector, Karama Cell, Kagusa Village, to celebrate the International Women's Day held on March 8, 2023. The theme for this year celebration highlighted the need for inclusive and transformative technology and digital education under the Global theme, “DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality

The World celebrated the International Women's Day this year in spirit of reflecting on progress and achievements made by women, building support for women’s rights, recognizing their full participation in the economy, politics, community and in everyday life and their role in improving access to innovative and technology tools.

In her remarks, the Chairperson of the Commission, Mrs MUKASINE Marie Claire, raised awareness on Fundamental Human Rights but more specifically on women’s rights. She highlighted the impacts, opportunities and challenges of innovation and technologies with regard to women’s rights; and she seized the opportunity to sensitize women to improve their access to innovative and technology tools for a more sustainable tomorrow and encouraged them to mobilize their peers.
